‘FUNdamental Movement Ideas for Early Years’ is a structured physical play programme of movement and activities for all early years children from walking to 6 years of age. The main aim of the FUNdamental programme is for children to learn that movement and activity is fun and enjoyable. This will encourage children’s interest in ALL TYPES OF SPORTS and will lead to healthier, active children and fitter adults. CARING FOR OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE HEALTH AND FITNESS Developed by British Gymnastics, the ‘FUNdamentals Movement Ideas for Early Years’ scheme has been designed to help young people enjoy physical exercise. The emphasis is on ‘FUN’ and out ‘Funky Cat’ character and his family introduces a wide range of physical activities based around 16 different themes. Designed for children from walking to 6 years, the activities will help children to learn basic movement skills with the experience of managing their bodies and incorporates the pleasure of moving and listening to music. Gymnastic Sessions @ The Rebound Centre
Gymnastic Sessions have recently transferred over from the Black Lion leisure centre to the Jumpers Rebound Centre. We are happy to be hosting them and hope that they are as successful as before and that we can develop as many athletes as possible into very gifted gymnasts. We will be running the following sessions at the following times and levels:
TUESDAY 4 - 5 BEGINNER
TUESDAY 5 - 6 INTERMEDIATE
WEDNESDAY 4 - 6 ADVANCED
THURSDAY 4 - 5 BEGINNER
THURSDAY 5 - 6 INTERMEDIATE
The first course will run from 18th September 2007 to the 18th December 2007, additional course dates will be available at a later date feel free to inquire at reception on 01634 855507. The prices are as follows:
Based on attending a one hour session each week
with G.J.T.C membership = £37.70
without G.J.T.C membership = £49.40
Based on attending a two hour session each week
with G.J.T.C membership = £70.20
without G.J.T.C membership = £81.25
Unfortunately each gymnast will have to hold a British Gymnastics associate membership at a cost of £17 for the year to be able to practice gymnastics within our centre. Application forms can be achieved from reception.
