REWARD AT THE RICOH
Jumpers travelled to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry with a team of three gymnasts; Andrew Mclaren, Kian Terry and Ashley Reed for the NDP Finals 2019.
Within the three categories our gymnasts were entered in, we achieved podium positions in all of them!
ANDREW MCLAREN – nDP 2 – Men’s 9-10
Andrew Mclaren was in great form and qualified for NDP Finals in 3rd place after a phenomenal performance at Regional Team Finals in Birmingham. After a successful competition, Andrew was determined and continued his great form in training, collecting those small extra marks.
Andrew continued this amazing run of performances and showed his true potential at the most important time. He showed his class and produced two beautiful routines and took home the silver medal in an extremely competitive group!
Kian Terry – NDP 5 – men’s 13-14
Kian Terry had a very successful Regional Team Finals, claiming the silver medal in a very competitive category. He used this success as motivation and continued his hard work in training running up to this event..
Once NDP Finals came, Kian showed an amazing class of execution, displacement scores and difficulty in his routines. With all of this combined, it allowed him to take home the bronze medal in an extremely difficult category!
Ashley Reed – FIG Development – Men’s 17+
After many attempts, Ashley finally got his breakthrough and qualified for the NDP Finals through the Spring Event Series earlier this year. Ashley has been training extremely hard running up to this event, putting his heart and soul into his training, always giving 110%.
Ashley seized the moment and produced two medal worthy routines at the finals. A slight mistake in his second routine on move two forced a substitution for move three, but he did not let this ruin his chances. He fought through and took home the silver medal in an extremely tight group!
Congratulations to the fantastic gymnastics on some outstanding results!
