Our team have a wealth of experience so you’re in safe hands. Many of them are past trampolinists so understand exactly what is required to make a top athlete. All our coaches are DBS checked and up to date on their safeguarding as well as all the full-time coaches being special needs coaches.

I have no other life! Not true, I love woodturning and making things

Most memorable gymnastics moment?

As an 11 year old, watching Paul Luxon do Triple Somersaults on a 77A Trampoline Bed.
(77A Trampoline Bed would have produced about a ¼ of the amount of power than a current Trampoline)

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

7 Times Kent Elite Men’s Trampoline Champion
Southern Counties Schools Champion
I did once do two National Champs in the same year (different NGBs) and broke my nose at one playing on the tumble strip (just a strip of mats).  When I phoned my father, he told me my brother had topped me by dislocating his shoulder in a rugby match, so I went back and competed in the final with a bag of ice.

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Probably getting the qualifications in the first place, as I was never a trampolinist and started as a volunteering mum.

When my daughter Dani, was the highest in the competition. Beating 54 in her age group and 215 in the whole competition.

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Judging at my first English Championships for Trampoline in 2016, giving my highest ever score 9.6!
Being picked for the South East Judging Team.

My first memorable gymnastics moment was when I had been selected at 10 years old to attend a prestigious Olympic Reserve boarding school in Russia where I spent over 5 years of intensive gymnastics training and study.

Gaining the title of Master of Sport in International Performance Level in Artistic Gymnastics

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Starting up Tumbling Squads at Jumpers and within two years, having gymnasts qualify to NDP Finals & Major Championships (English Championships).
Medalling at finals in Acrobatics Multiple times 4x Bronze (2x Mens Group, 2x Mixed Pair)
1x  Silver (Mixed Pair).

Watching Bryony, Kat and Nathan the 2016 Rio Olympics with everyone at the club gathered around the computer screen.  What a sense of community!

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Making the finals of the 17-21 Men’s Gold category at English Championships 2018.
Helping a performer become the 9-10 English Silver Winner at the English Championships 2018.

What hobbies/other interests do you have?

Spending time with my family & watching my children do all the sports they love

Most memorable gymnastics moment?

Going to watch my brother Gary at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Watching my three sons compete at the English Championships 2018

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

As a Gymnast, finally putting my Full Back and Rudi in a routine and competing after a year of trying.

As a coach, watching my Development Squad turn into great gymnasts and achieving their goals.
As a Gymnast, qualifying to Grade B.

John Boreham

What are your current qualifications?

What hobbies/other interests do you have?

I love food! Love cooking and eating it. I am hugely into nutrition mainly in sport and exercise. Music is a big part of my life, have been a DJ for 17 years and am involved with music production. I also run a youth football team and coach for a local football academy.

Most memorable gymnastics moment?

Watching on TV the Mens GB Tumble Team win Gold at the World Championships in Sofia in 2017
Seeing my son complete 2 full tumble runs at his first Spring Event

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Getting through my Level 1 and preparing for Level 2 Tumble Qualification.
Teaching new skills to gymnasts.

When my daughter Georgina was selected for Great Britain for Junior & Senior DMT Squads. Also, my daughter Georgina achieving a Bronze Medal in DMT at the European Trampoline, DMT & Tumbling Championships 2012.

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Coaching Emily Smith & Rachel Cox to Great Britain DMT Squads, also coaching Holly Keeping, to selection on the England DMT Squad.
Being selected for the South East as a DMT Coach at a number of events.
Just watching Gymnasts evolve & grow into the sport, knowing I had a small or a large part to play, makes me proud.

Watching Football & socialising with the Trampoline Family.

My first DMT National Competition and then British National Finals, Also my last Trampoline Competition, I really enjoyed the moment and appreciating what I have achieved over the years both trampoline and DMT.

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Competing at an International Competition (Flanders 2008)
Winning a team medal at Nationals for DMT
Competing at British Nationals 6 times.

Trampoline Coach

Lauren Tucker

What are your current qualifications?

Level 1 Trampoline Coach

When did you start coaching?

I started coaching in 2013 as a part of my Duke of Edinburgh bronze award. I began helping with the Saturday morning tots group and from here I helped out ever since. I then progressed to coach more days of the week and help out in holidays with camp.

What hobbies/other interests do you have?

Although I love gymnastics, coaching and training but I also enjoy watching other sporting events. Whether this is watching the football at the pub, staying up for fight night or supporting local teams like the Invicta Dynamos or Gills. I also enjoy my studies towards my accountancy qualifications and playing board games.

Most memorable gymnastics moment?

My most memorable moment in gymnastics was when I learnt my first front somersault! After doing gymnastics and aerobics, trampolining was very fun and I enjoyed doing bigger skills. I still remember to this day when Sue and James taught me my first somersault.

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Making NDP Finals 2016
Competing in the Olympic Velodrome.

Nikki Jahan

What are your current qualifications?

Level 2 Trampoline Coach

When did you start coaching?

1999

What hobbies/other interests do you have?

Reading, long walks, spending time with family and friends.

Most memorable gymnastics moment?

Years ago when I started coaching, I used to coach a private lesson for 2 siblings.  They started from scratch and learnt their first somersault from me (it was a big moment for me as I have only coached a very minimal number of hours due to my other job role).

Best Achievement within Gymnastics?

Passing my Level 2 Trampoline Coaching Qualification.
